- Ensure a dedicated City Hall liaison focused solely on the progress of Mayport.
- Smarter, Community-Led Development
- Work with residents to develop land use plans that protect charm while encouraging economic opportunity.
- Continue to partner with Mayport Village Advisory Board made up of local residents, business owners, and historians.
- St. Johns Riverwalk Expansion
- Build pedestrian-friendly walkways that allow everyone to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the river.
- Integrate art, lighting, and resting areas along the riverwalk for families and visitors.
- Support for Local Seafood & Maritime Industries
- Establish grants and streamlined permits for local fishermen, seafood markets, and dock improvements.
- Partner with maritime schools and trade programs to create job pipelines in the seafood and shipyard industries.
- Small Business Marketplace & Events
- Develop a community shopping plaza featuring local artisans, cafes, and vendors.
- Launch annual Mayport Fishing Tournaments, seafood festivals, and cultural events to attract tourism and celebrate tradition.
- Accountability & Clean-Up
- Identify and remove abandoned, unsafe, or blighted properties that diminish the area’s safety and appeal.
- Enforce zoning laws and support responsible redevelopment.
